She recognized herself instantly
My daughter is four and the second I opened the cover she screamed "that's ME!" and grabbed it out of my hands. The little gap in her front teeth is in there, which I did not expect from a photo upload. We have read it eleven times since Tuesday.
A dinosaur adventure with my child at the center
My child is in a dinosaur phase, so this was an easy choice. Seeing the adventure built around them made the book feel extra special, and we ended up talking about dinosaurs long after we finished reading.

The art team did something special with the lighting in this book. Every spread feels warm in a way that's hard to describe. My daughter says it smells like Christmas. It does not smell like Christmas. She believes it does.
