Accessibility
Last changed on 14 October 2026. This is our accessibility statement: what we aim for, and where we know we fall short.
We want this shop to work for everybody who wants to make a book, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, or a large text setting. We aim at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, at level AA. We have not had an outside audit, so this is what we aim at rather than a certificate.
What we have built for it: text that keeps its contrast, a page that works in one column on a phone without scrolling sideways, headings in the order they are read, a skip link straight to the content, and every control we know of reachable and operable from a keyboard.
Where it is hardest, and we know it: the book preview is a picture of a book. The words of the story are drawn into the artwork, so a screen reader cannot read them aloud. If that is the barrier between you and buying a book, write to us and we will send you the text of any title.
If something here blocks you, that is a fault we want to hear about, including a control we have missed. Write to us through the contact page, tell us what you were trying to do, and we will fix it or find you another way to do it. We answer within one working day.
Questions this page does not answer? Write to us. A person reads it.
