A story your child is actually in is the one they want to open again, and the one they start reading back to you. Upload one photo, read the whole book, then decide.

The character is drawn from the photo you upload: the face, the hair, the eyes. Drag the handle and see.
A printed picture book with one child drawn into every page. You upload a photo, the character is drawn from it, and their name runs through the story rather than sitting on the cover.
Studies of children being read to have measured it: when the story is about them, they smile more, say more, and stay with it. From about age four they also remember what is tied to themselves better than what is not. A child who wants the book open has already done the hard part, and that is the child who starts reading it back to you.
No, and the difference turns out to matter. In a trial with 315 children, the books that changed how children responded were the ones where the child was really in the story: their own face, in every scene. A name dropped into a template did not do the same. This is the second kind: the character is drawn from your photograph and appears on every page, not only on the cover.
Pick a book, upload one clear photo, type a name. Less than 30 seconds later the whole book is on screen and you decide from there.
The character is drawn from the photograph rather than assembled from a hair color and an eye color. Whether it worked is a question you answer by looking: the whole book is on screen before anything is charged.

No. There is nothing to sign up for and no email address is asked for until you buy.
5 to 7 business days to a US address, printing and binding included, because every book is made after it is ordered. Order a little ahead of a birthday.
It isn't the name on the cover. Researchers have watched children with books that are really about them, and the same three things keep showing up.
“Young children smile, laugh and talk more with a book about themselves than with one that isn't, and they keep going.”
Kucirkova et al., 2013 and 2014
“From about age four, children remember things better when those things are tied to themselves. Psychologists call it the self reference effect.”
Cunningham et al., 2014, Child Development
“In a randomized trial with 315 children, the books that changed how children responded were the ones the child was truly in. A name swapped into a template did not do the same.”
Kotaman & Balcı, 2025; Kruse, Faller & Read, 2021
Which is why the child is drawn into every page here, not named on the cover and left out of the story. A child who wants the book open has already done the hard part.

She recognized herself instantly
My daughter is four and the second I opened the cover she screamed "that's ME!" and grabbed it out of my hands. The little gap in her front teeth is in there, which I did not expect from a photo upload. We have read it eleven times since Tuesday.
A dinosaur adventure with my child at the center
My child is in a dinosaur phase, so this was an easy choice. Seeing the adventure built around them made the book feel extra special, and we ended up talking about dinosaurs long after we finished reading.
Three weeks, same book every night
Three weeks in. She hasn't asked for anything else at bedtime. I'm starting to know it by heart, which is how I know it's doing its job.
Took it to show and tell
He came home and told me the whole class wanted to see it because it had his face in it. I had to explain that they'd need their own. He was extremely disappointed on their behalf.
Bedtime routine finally fixed
My daughter doesn't like admitting she's tired, which made bedtime a negotiation every night. Seeing herself as the last one awake, going on a whole adventure nobody else sees, she's decided that's a good thing. We're done negotiating.
The illustrations match her so well
Her freckles, the curl she hates, the little birthmark on her cheek, all there. She keeps touching the page like she's checking. The level of detail for a children's book is not something I expected.
He's been obsessed with dinosaurs ever since
He liked dinosaurs before. Now he has opinions about which ones were faster. The book is responsible for this and I'm choosing to be grateful.
The nighttime illustrations are genuinely beautiful
I sit with her when we read it not just to be there but because I actually want to see the next spread. The art is warm and careful in a way I did not expect from a personalized book.
It stays on the nightstand
She keeps it next to her lamp. Not the shelf, not the toy box, but the nightstand, so she can see the cover from bed. That placement tells you everything.
The expressions they gave him are perfect
My son has a very particular face when he's determined: a small frown and a set jaw. It's on every spread. My husband noticed it before I pointed it out. That says everything about how accurate this is.
He counts the trucks on every spread
We are now on day fourteen of reading this. He can name all eleven trucks by spread now, including which one is his favorite and why. This was not a skill I expected from a picture book.
The night sky illustrations are stunning
I don't know what I expected but not this. The spreads are genuinely beautiful, the kind of thing I'd want on a wall if they weren't bound in a book. My daughter wants to sleep under them. I understand why.
Christmas Eve tradition, year one
We read it on Christmas Eve with the fireplace going and my son in his pajamas. He didn't want it to end. I'm calling this a tradition now and he has already agreed to it.
He brings it to the table at dinner
He brings it to the table and points at the parade page while I'm trying to serve food. We've had this negotiation for three weeks. I've stopped fighting it. The trucks eat with us now.
One blessing before dinner, every night
We started reading one page before dinner instead of all ten at once. My daughter now reminds us if we forget. It has become the nicest five minutes of the day and I did not expect a picture book to do that.
The firelight on the illustrations is stunning
The art team did something special with the lighting in this book. Every spread feels warm in a way that's hard to describe. My daughter says it smells like Christmas. It does not smell like Christmas. She believes it does.
He sits down with books now
My son is six and would rather run laps than look at a picture book. He read this one himself, twice in a row, because he's in it. I will take that win.
The illustrations are warm without being sentimental
I was worried it would be saccharine. It isn't. The art is genuinely warm and careful, and the text is honest in a way that doesn't feel forced. My daughter likes it. I like it. That's harder than it sounds.
Better than any sleep routine we've tried
Months of bedtime resistance and nothing stuck. This did. She asks for Lullaby Lane herself now, which is not something she has ever done with a book.
A little light for the big feelings
We read Little Lantern on evenings when everything feels a bit overwhelming. The gentle story gives us a quiet moment together, and my child loves following the lantern through the pages.
